Executive Director
Jennifer Kin

Jennifer M. Kin assumed the role of Executive Director at Sisters in Shelter in July 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in law enforcement and leadership. She earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Owens Community College, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Justice Administration from Tiffin University.​

After completing the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission program at Owens, Jennifer embarked on a distinguished law enforcement career, serving with various agencies across Ohio. Her extensive experience encompasses road patrol, investigations, evidence management, crime scene analysis, interviewing and interrogations, and notably, serving as the lead sexual assault investigator. She continues to contribute to public safety as a reserve officer with the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.​

Beyond her law enforcement endeavors, Jennifer has demonstrated exceptional leadership in diverse roles, including General Manager for three local tax offices and Director of Safety and Security at both Tiffin University and Terra State Community College.​

Throughout her career, Jennifer has witnessed the profound impact of human trafficking, fueling her dedication to advocate for victims and elevate awareness of this pervasive issue. Leveraging her extensive experience and leadership expertise, she is committed to developing community awareness programs and educational initiatives on human trafficking for both youth and parents.​

Under her leadership, Sisters in Shelter has expanded its outreach and education efforts, hosting numerous awareness events and engaging a wide audience.

Case Manager
Adriana Zepeda

Adriana Zepeda began her journey with Sisters in Shelter as an intern in the Fall of 2023. In August 2024, she was promoted to Case Manager. Adriana graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Tiffin University with a concentration in Forensic Psychology.
With a deep passion for advocacy, she is dedicated to understanding the criminal justice system and working to transform the lives of survivors of human trafficking. Adriana serves most days at the safe house working closely with survivors to create personalized case plans. She also facilitates a variety of programs, life skills workshops, and health and wellness activities, all aimed at empowering survivors and helping them regain independence. Additionally, Adriana leads Human Trafficking 101 presentations for volunteers, interns, and community members interested in learning more about the issue.


After relocating from California to Tiffin in 2022, Adriana fell in love with the community and became eager to get more involved. She is currently enrolled in the Leadership Seneca County program, class of 2025.
