SISTERS IN SHELTER

ADVOCATING FOR AND SERVING SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Sisters in Shelter is a non-profit organization which provides a safe haven and support to survivors of human trafficking. Learn how we shelter survivors, and how you can help stop human trafficking, advocate for survivors and victims, as well as volunteer and contribute to our cause.

Susannah is a human trafficking survivor who shared her story and experience of calling the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

"When I called the hotline, I was hiding behind a dumpster. They got me a bus ticket under a different name. They provided an opportunity for me to get out of my trafficking situation on my own terms....Until that pointeveryone else had a say in my life except me. During my call with the hotline, everything was my choice."

"People were created to be loved.  Things were created to be used.  The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used."
